When Cabot was founded in 1919, the very first product made in our creamery was butter. Over a century later, we are proud of our butter’s role in inspiring a closed-loop system that tackles food waste & creates renewable energy.
The Best Butter, Sustainably Produced
The best butter in America is sustainably produced by using energy from an aerobic digester at a nearby Cabot farm. Food waste, manure, and even extra material from butter making, goes back into the digester, creating a closed-loop system.
