New England Green Pastures Award

Many of our farm families have earned this prestigious award given by the Commissioners of Agriculture for each of the six New England states, some on multiple occasions. Nominees are evaluated based on production and financial management, environmental practices, contributions to agriculture and the local community, and overall excellence in farm management practices.

We Love What We Do

Before the awards. Before the grocery-aisle displays. Before the cool of the cheese caves. Even before the products—the best cheddar, cottage cheese, yogurt, clothbound and the rest. Before that, there was simply this: a powerful love for what we do.

That’s how Cabot makes the best cheese in the world. We’re there, every step of the way. Our cheese graders, for example—they taste and sample every wheel and block of cheese as they’re aged to ensure that they’re just right. We keep trying new things too, like lactose-free cheese. And now, even our Greek yogurt has gotten in on the award-winning act!

From our barns and creameries to the grocery cooler and your table—that’s the story of the best-tasting cheese in the world. Whether it’s cheddar, Swiss, Colby Jack, or anything else, you’ll taste that care and commitment in every bite.
