Dessert

A fun spin on a classic American dessert, our apple pie parfait recipe is a one-of-a-kind treat that your friends and family will surely love. The recipe makes for a single serving, and it’s an easy one to prepare quickly after dinner. It features all the tasty flavors of a fresh slice of apple pie, but since it substitutes a carb-heavy crust and a heavy filling for granola and Greek-yogurt with applesauce, the end result is a surprisingly healthy treat that’s rich and flavorful! We suggest making our apple pie in a bowl for dessert, but you can also make it for a light snack too during the day. If you think your friends and family might enjoy the recipe, please share it with them on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram and Twitter.

Nothing beats a freshly made parfait. If you’d like to make our apple pie parfait, you can start by assembling all the ingredients. You’ll need a quarter cup of applesauce, a half cup of Cabot Lowfat Vanilla Bean Greek Yogurt or Cabot Lowfat Strawberry Greek Yogurt, a quarter cup of lowfat granola, ginger snaps or graham crackers and some cinnamon. To make the dish, add a layer of applesauce to a bowl, and then coat that layer with yogurt and granola. Add another layer or two of applesauce, yogurt and granola, and then top everything off with cinnamon! By the way, this is also a great dish to make with your children, since it’s a fairly basic one to prepare.
