This Chili con Queso is a perfect game day recipe for any crowd.
Spice up dinner tonight with a fun, Latin-themed appetizer. Chili con Queso is easy to make, featuring wholesome ingredients like tomato salsa, Cabot Extra Sharp Cheddar cheese, and Cabot’s one-of-a-kind Sour Cream. The recipe makes two cups or 14 servings, and it’s best when served fresh, though it can keep if necessary. The tomato salsa adds a refreshing layer of heat, but this dish isn’t too spicy. If you think your friends and family might like this recipe, please share it with them on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter.
Chili con queso is typically loaded with cheese, so be prepared—this recipe is a heavy one! Thankfully, you only need a few key ingredients to make the dish: Cabot Salted Butter, King Arthur Flour, tomato salsa (you can go with mild if you’re not keen on spicy dishes, or you can go with hot or extra hot if you’re in the mood for a fiery appetizer!), sour cream, and cheddar cheese. We recommend Cabot Extra Sharp Cheddar or New York Extra Sharp Shredded Cheddar Cheese, depending on how strong you like your cheddar cheese. Lastly, we recommend using tortilla chips for dipping, but you can use any kind of chip or cracker for this dip. The directions below highlight everything you need to know about how to make the dip. Remember that the sour cream will help make the dip a bit thicker.
