Put a festive holiday spin on a charcuterie board this season. This Holiday Wreath Charcuterie Board has the color and flavors of the winter holidays in the shape of a wreath. Let your creativity shine and your taste buds dance as you make this special party cheese board.
Directions
-
PREPARE your choice of fresh fruits and berries by gently washing and patting dry. Thinly slice part of the whole fruits while leaving a half piece unsliced to decorate the board.
-
FILL small ramekins or bowls with the pickles, olives and preserves and include mini forks or spoons as needed.
-
ASSEMBLE the charcuterie board on a round wooden board or platter (or other shape that will accommodate a round “wreath” shape) by placing the various components (dried and fresh fruits, nuts, crackers, sliced meat and cheese) in small groups paying attention to contrasting sizes, colors and textures to create an appealing display. Use the two cracker cut cheese slices as anchors in the center of the board. Place the ramekins evenly spaced around the board. Note: If not serving the charcuterie board right away leave off the crackers until ready to serve, cover with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator. Let the cheese come to room temperature (about 30 minutes) before serving for best flavor and texture.
-
GARNISH with the fresh herbs placing around the “wreath” to create greenery.
