In order to make hot broccoli dip, you’ll need a few crucial ingredients: one (ten ounce) package of frozen chopped broccoli, eight ounces of Cabot Sharp Cheddar or Cabot Extra Sharp Cheddar, four ounces of Cabot Vermont Premium Cream Cheese, two tablespoons of milk, a half to one tablespoon of Tabasco or a hot sauce of your preference, and a half teaspoon of freshly grated black pepper. When making this recipe, remember to place the frozen broccoli in a microwave-safe bowl (microwaving the broccoli should only take about 9 minutes or so). - 1 (10 ounces) package frozen chopped broccoli
8 ounces Cabot Sharp Cheddar or Cabot Extra Sharp Cheddar, grated (about 2 cups)
4 ounces Cabot Premium Cream Cheese
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ -1 teaspoon Tabasco or other hot sauce
- ½ teaspoon freshly grated black pepper
- PLACE frozen broccoli in microwave-safe bowl; cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave until hot and tender, about 9 minutes (do not add any water).
- UNCOVER and add cheddar, cream cheese, milk, hot sauce and pepper to bowl. Cover again and microwave just until cheeses are melted, 1 to 2 minutes longer. Stir until smooth. (If mixture seems thin, it will thicken upon cooling slightly.)
- SERVE with crackers and fresh vegetables.
