Fishing for a new snack idea? Catch the Snacklebox trend and reel in your family and friends with this creative snack idea - in a fishing tackle box! These Snackleboxes make a fun and creative way to store and present a charcuterie board or cheese tray. It’s an easy and versatile snack idea that travels well to picnics, campsites or on the boat. This is a great snack to get the kids involved with.

We recommend buying new trays, such as Flambeau Tough 5005 Divided and not using the extra dividers. Give it a good washing and let dry. Then the fun begins. Simply load it up with your favorite Cabot cheeses. Cabot Cracker Cut Slices are a convenient option for the Snacklebox. Pepper Jack, Extra Sharp and Colby Jack is a great selection of spicy, tangy and mild cheeses sure to check all the cheese lover boxes. Select a couple of your favorite crackers or pretzels, sliced fruit and berries, and sliced fresh or pickles veggies to compliment the cheeses. Sliced or cubed pepperoni or salami adds some protein. And if you like, bring along some mustard and sweet jam or chutney to complete this fun and tasty treat for your next camping trip or cookout.

After filling the tackle box sections, lay a sheet of plastic wrap over the top, close and lock the lid, and place in the refrigerator until you’re ready to hit the road or water. Depending on how far in advance you are assembling the Snacklebox, you may want to hold out the crackers and add just before serving. Just place on the top of your other packed cooler items and it’s ready when you are. This is one of those treats that’s fun to surprise your friends with.
