Ingredients

  • 1 ripe heirloom tomato
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • 2 pieces hearty white bread
  • 4 thin slices Cabot Extra Sharp Cheddar

Directions

  1. SLICE tomato into ⅛-inch slices.
  2. SPREAD out on cutting board and sprinkle with salt.
  3. ARRANGE cheddar slices on each slice of bread (to protect the bread from getting soggy from tomato slices).
  4. ARRANGE fresh tomato slices as the middle layer of this simple sandwich.
