Looking for a delicious, healthy substitute for whipped cream? This recipe whips cream cheese with rich Greek yogurt to create a thick, sumptuous substitute for ordinary whipped cream. With Cabot’s recipe for whipped yogurt cream, you can create delicious parfaits, dollop the cream directly onto a bowl of fresh berries, or use it atop your favorite dessert. We will give you fair warning though – once you make this whipped Greek yogurt cream, you may never go back to regular whipped cream again. And that’s a good thing! Try it out and share the recipe with friends and family on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter.

This recipe comes together so quickly and easily, it’s a joy to make! And it only requires three basic ingredients: 1 (8-ounce) package of Cabot Cream Cheese, ¼ cup confectioner’s sugar, and 1 cup of Cabot Lowfat Vanilla Bean Greek Yogurt, or Triple Cream Vanilla Bean Greek Yogurt.

To make, you’ll simply beat the cream cheese in a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, until softened. Then add in confectioner’s sugar, beating until smooth and well combined. Stop to scrape down the side of bowl when needed. Lastly, add in the yogurt and beat until the mixture is smooth and fluffy, for another minute or so. If necessary, scrape down the bowl again. Take out some fresh berries or a slice of pound cake and enjoy immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve!

Helpful tip: Avoid messy splatters by setting the bowl in the sink when whipping.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. BEAT cream cheese in medium bowl with electric mixer for about 1 minute until softened. Use the whisk attachment if using a stand mixer. Add confectioner’s sugar and beat until smooth and well combined, stopping to scrape down side of bowl as needed.
  2. ADD yogurt and beat for a minute or two longer until mixture is smooth and fluffy, scraping bowl again. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  3. TIP: It’s always a good idea to set the bowl in the sink when whipping cream, to contain any spatters.
