Whether you’re hosting and want to wow your guest with an impressive cheese board, or you want to bring a small cheese board to a family or friend’s home this easy to prepare cheese board will do the trick.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 2 cups fresh and dried fruit of your choice such as grapes, berries, apricots, sliced apple or pear

  • 4 - 6 ounces sliced salami, summer sausage or other cured meat (optional)

  • 1 cup nuts of your choice such as walnuts, pecans or cashews

  • 1 or 2 types of gluten-free crackers of varying shapes and flavors, such as Mary’s Gone Crackers, Simple Mills or Crunchmaster.

  • 1 small ramekin of sweet jam or chutney

  • 1 small bowl of olives and/or pickles

  • A few sprigs of fresh herbs such as rosemary, thyme or sage

Directions

  1. SELECT a medium-sized cheese board, plate or platter to fit the cheese board items.

  2. BRING the cheese to room temperature for about 20 minutes. Slice cheese and place on the serving board. If using different cheese flavors cut into different shapes for each flavor, such as cubes or triangles.

  3. SURROUND the cheese on the board with small groups of contrasting flavors, colors and textures using the fresh and dried fruit, crunchy nuts, meats, and crackers. Arrange everything together for a bountiful look.

  4. PLACE the ramekins of jam or chutney and olives or pickles on the board. Add the sprigs of fresh herbs to garnish the board.
