Have you ever had a craving for a charcuterie or cheese board, but didn’t want to make one to feed an entire party? We’ve created the perfect solution: a simple cheese board for two! This recipe makes an easy cheese board using Cabot’s Cracker Cut Sliced Cheddar – conveniently pre-sliced cuts of our classic, lactose-free cheeses. We recommend pairing each of these cheeses – Seriously Sharp Cheddar, creamy Colby Jack, or spicy Pepper Jack – with one or two sweet bites like fresh grapes, dried apricots or dates, a savory thin sliced salami and crunchy nuts and crackers. The best part about this easy cheese board recipe is that you can customize it to your liking, using our handy cheese pairing guide! This small cheese board is perfect for date night noshing with a glass of wine, a simple appetizer before dinner or at-home game day snack.
To start your cheese board for two, bring the Cabot Cracker Cut cheeses to room temperature for about 20 minutes and place them on the cheese board.
Surround the cheese with small groups of contrasting flavors and textures. Include your favorite fresh and dried fruits, crunchy nuts and crackers, and sliced meat (optional). Arrange everything together for a bountiful look. If desired include a small ramekin of sweet jam or chutney. Add an fresh herb branch or two, such as rosemary, thyme or sage, to add some color and greenery to the board.
