Cabot Creamery Wins Four First-Place Titles in International Competition
Cabot Creamery took home four first-place awards, two second place and four third place awards at the 2024 World Championship Cheese Contest held in Madison, Wisconsin March 5 - 7. Since 1957, the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association has hosted this premier technical cheese, butter and yogurt competition biennially. A team of expert judges from all over the world evaluate the entries on flavor, body and texture, salt, color, finish, packaging and other attributes. Cabot Creamery won the following awards:
First Place
- “Salted Butter,” Extra Creamy Sea Salted Butter
- “Pepper Flavored Monterey Jack, Medium Heat,” Pepper Jack Cheese
- “Natural Snack Cheese,” 1 Year Cheddar Cheese Cracker Cuts
- “Natural Sliced Cheese,” Pepper Jack Sliced Cheese (Cabot Creamery & Great Lakes Cheese)
Second Place
- “Pepper Flavored Monterey Jack, Medium Heat,” Pepper Jack Cheese
- “Natural Rinded Cheddar,” Cabot Clothbound (Cabot Creamery & Cellars at Jasper Hill)
Third Place
- “Salted Butter,” Extra Creamy Sea Salted Butter
- “Cheddar, Mild (0-3 Months),” Mild Cheddar Cheese
- “Cheddar, Med (3-6 Months),” Medium Cheddar
- “Cheddar, Sharp (6 Months-1 Year),” Sharp Cheddar Cheese
