Tasty Recipe Ideas For Taco Tuesday

If you’re stuck in a meal planning rut, one easy trick is to assign a theme to each day of the week. Meatless (or Meatloaf!) Monday, Taco Tuesday and Pizza Friday are all good options (although we confess the sound of that last one isn’t near as fun. It’s a good thing pizza tastes so good!).

The flipside is that good intentions go awry when you follow a theme week after week and never switch things up. Next thing you know, you’re right back in that rut! The good news is there are PLENTY of ways to add some spice to your Taco Tuesdays, both literally and figuratively. Choosing different protein options, using marinades and spices to add extra flavor, and adding a taco twist to your favorite recipe are all great options.

Here are a few ideas:
Use a marinade to add flavor! Put your favorite meat in a flavorful marinade and let it sit overnight. When you go to cook it, it’ll be infused with delicious flavors and will also be extra juicy. Try this Yogurt Marinated Pork.

Go meatless. Use beans and quinoa for protein or try making a vegetarian “ground meat” with tempeh. Start with this Vegetarian Taco Salad.

Change the way you serve them. Try nachos, taco salad or a new kind of shell for your tacos. We love these Cabot Cheddar Lace Taco Shells or these Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps.

Make a spin-off. Take your favorite recipe and give it a taco twist. Try this Taco Quinoa Bowl or these Mini Taco Cups.
