7 Recipes for your Holiday Cookie Swap

Gifting baked goods for Christmas is a great way to show you care! Many enjoy the holiday tradition of spending a few days pulling sheet pans of cookies out of the oven and rewatching my favorite winter holiday movies while the smell of cinnamon and chocolate and caramelizing sugar fills the house. It’s soothing, cathartic, and totally nostalgic.

Some years we bake a selection of whoopie pies, some years I stick to more traditional Christmas cookies like molasses and ginger spiced confections. No sugar cookies, though; I don’t fully understand the sugar cookie, and it never makes the cut on my list. This year I’m doing a chocolate cookie, a maple cookie, and a gluten-free peanut butter cookie, and I can’t wait for Christmas break to start baking.
